In August of 2010, the boards were pulled, gates were opened and the 230 year old wildlife habitat that was Moeckel (Simpson) Pond disappeared.  Ten years of team work, community support and dedicated professionals have brought us here.  On August 13, 2019, the Friends of Moeckel Pond signed a contract with George Cairns and Sons to begin construction of the Marston-Finn Conservation Dam.
