With the return of water to Moeckel Pond multiple opportunities for recreation will open. Access to the area will be off Marblehead Road. A small, off road parking area will lead to Moeckel Pond and a trail up to Deer Leap.  The parking area will also give you access Pelham Conservation with a trail network that leads from Moeckel Pond to Kirby-Ivers.

Once closed to public access, Moeckel Pond will offer 40 acres of calm water kayaking, canoe, fishing, and provide access to another 34 acres in Rock Pond.  This southern Windham location will offer incredible bird watching opportunities because it is in the middle of 700 acres of conservation and open space land identified as a highly-ranked wildlife habitat.

Moeckel Pond will also offer options for winter eco recreation like snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and ice skating.
